DHS Hurricane King ACB

DHS Hurricane Wang Xiangpeng ACB is a new blade released by DHS in 2024 and is the same model used by the Chinese National Team player Xiang Peng. The blade features a 5+2 inner ACB (Arylate-Carbon) structure. The outer plies use Koto, combined with Blue-Black ALC fibers and an Ayous core. This composition provides the hardness of Koto along with the crisp responsiveness of Blue-Black ALC, resulting in excellent rigidity and stability. The forehand has a crisp and elastic feel with clear feedback. It offers good power transmission and a fast rebound off the blade. When looping on the forehand, the blade provides noticeable dwell time, but the overall speed, power, and spin are slightly lower compared to the Hurricane Long 5 series. However, the first-speed acceleration is improved, and the ball trajectory tends to be lower and flatter. On the backhand, the blade easily transfers incoming power, making it comfortable to drive and providing stable placement. Backhand looping requires less effort, especially from mid-distance, and flicks and punch-blocks are easier to execute. In the short game, the combination of Koto and Blue ALC provides clear touch, good friction, and reliable control. In defense, the blade has good transparency and support, does not easily get overpowered by heavy spin, and performs well when blocking against strong topspin attacks. The blade surface features an engraved DHS stamp. The iconic yellow crescent mark in the handle design has been changed to blue, and the end of the handle uses the DHS Gold Cup emblem.
