DHS Hurricane King ACB

The DHS Hurricane Wang Xiangpeng ACB blade, launched in 2024, is the signature model used by Chinese National Team player Xiang Peng. It boasts a 5+2 inner ACB (Arylate-Carbon) construction, with outer plies crafted from Koto wood combined with Blue-Black ALC fibers and an Ayous core. This blend delivers the solid hardness of Koto alongside the sharp responsiveness of Blue-Black ALC, ensuring exceptional rigidity and stability. On the forehand, the blade offers a crisp, elastic feel with precise feedback. It transmits power effectively and provides a quick rebound. While looping, it offers noticeable dwell time, though its overall speed, power, and spin are slightly less than those of the Hurricane Long 5 series. However, its initial acceleration is faster, producing a lower, flatter ball trajectory. The backhand excels in power transfer, making drives smooth and placement consistent. Backhand looping is easier, especially from mid-distance, and flicks and punch-blocks feel more controlled and effortless. In close-range play, the combination of Koto and Blue ALC delivers clear touch, excellent friction, and reliable control. Defensively, the blade offers good transparency and support, resisting overpowering from heavy spin and performing strongly when blocking intense topspin shots. The blade’s surface is adorned with an engraved DHS stamp. The handle design features a refreshed blue crescent mark replacing the traditional yellow, with the DHS Gold Cup emblem displayed at the handle’s end.
