Description
Desperado Reloaded offers more spin reversal and improved control than the original Desperado and even the Desperado 2. The added tackiness provides more grip on the ball, helping with consistency and spin variation. Overall, this version represents a more balanced and refined evolution of the Desperado series.
Like its predecessors, Desperado Reloaded features long pimples, which are the hallmark of the rubber. These pimples are designed to create an erratic bounce and to reverse spin effectively, making it hard for opponents to anticipate ball trajectories.
The pimples in this version have been slightly reworked for better disruption and spin reversal compared to the original Desperado and even the Desperado 2. The Desperado Reloaded rubber continues to focus on creating maximum spin reversal. This feature allows the player to send back underspin balls with an unexpected twist, often resulting in awkward returns from opponents, especially when blocking or chopping. The rubber also excels in creating unpredictable ball trajectories, further making it difficult for attackers to judge the bounce and timing.
Dr. Neubauer has worked to improve control in the Reloaded version, offering defensive players more precision when executing shots, especially in high-pressure situations.
The enhanced control helps to keep the ball low over the net, which is crucial for both chopping and blocking styles.
The Desperado Reloaded is not fast, however, its speed is moderate enough to facilitate counter-attacks when needed, making it versatile for both defense and some offensive play.
The balance between speed and control is aimed at players who prefer a slower, more tactical game.
The surface of the pimples has been designed to provide a slightly tackier feel compared to older models. This helps to provide more grip on incoming spins, enabling better control and variation of spin in the defensive game.
The rubber can also be effective for returning spin-heavy shots from attackers, such as heavy topspin or sidespin balls.
