Unlike the original Dornenglanz, the Dornenglanz X offers less disruptive effect during passive play—simply holding the racket out won’t easily win points. With the Dornenglanz X (OX), you can consistently keep the ball in play or take control by attacking and applying pressure, creating chances to utilize your stronger forehand. When facing pressure, chop blocks are much more effective than passive blocks, though passive blocks are still possible and produce a low, flat trajectory. While occasional defensive backspin shots (classic chopping) can be played with the Dornenglanz X (OX), this is not meant to be a primary tactic in your game.
