The J.O. Waldner Gold Edition blade is a special edition blade designed to honor the legendary table tennis player Jan-Ove Waldner and his Olympic victory in 1992. The blade features a 5+2 construction with five wooden layers and two layers of carbon, including the Etalyra carbon layer for additional power and feeling. The handle is decorated in the Swedish national colors of light blue and gold yellow. While Jan-Ove Waldner may no longer compete professionally, he still plays table tennis from time to time and has chosen the Gold Edition blade combined with Bluestorm rubbers for his current setup. It is manufactured in Korea.
