The latest iteration of Anti-Spin rubbers establishes a new standard, particularly effective when blocking close to the table with plastic balls. The introduction of new plastic balls, particularly the ABS variety, has resulted in reduced spin, leading to less spin reversal. TARANTULA, our new Anti-Spin rubber, is designed to maximize spin reversal with these new balls. Notably, unlike many other frictionless Anti-Spin rubbers on the market, TARANTULA allows for very short blocking with a low bouncing ball, complicating your opponent's attempts to launch the next attacking stroke. It excels in returning even fast topspin shots and flat hits, offering a noticeable sinking effect on the ball.
TARANTULA is versatile and can be used on both classic "combination" blades and fast, stiff offensive blades. This adaptability is attributed to the dampening sponge's absorption power, effectively "killing" the speed of the incoming ball. The dampening sponge is available in three thickness options: 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 1.8mm. The 1.8mm version is the slowest, while the 1.2mm version produces the most significant spin reversal. The 1.5mm sponge version strikes a balance between speed and spin reversal.
